EYFS/KS1 Base 2019 - 2020
Welcome to the EYFS/KS1 ASD Resource Base.
Our Teacher is Miss Jones, and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Livell and Miss Worsley.
We enjoy learning in our classroom in the morning and use the continuous provision area in nursery each afternoon. At playtime, we join the rest of KS1 on the playground and at lunchtime, access the Reception class Outdoor Learning Area.
We love to make use of the school's 'Wow Room' for sensory learning and are working hard to develop our communication skills.
Our topic this term is 'Under the Sea'.
Join us for our live sensory circuits, every Monday morning on Facebook
Here at Witherslack Group, our staff are used to sharing their expertise, advice and professional opinion to parents and carers, and even in these unprecedented times they have continued to reach out through the wizardry of webinars.
A shining example of this is our very own Occupational Therapist, James Ffitch, who recently trialled an online sensory motor circuits for pupils at Hartwell School. As the news spread, so did the demand, and now you too can join in the fun with Circuits with Sensei.
Join us on Monday 11th April at 11am to go live with James on Facebook with a cool 30 minute exercise based on sensory motor circuit to alert, organise and regulate your sensory systems. These specially selected activities aim to organise, calm and engage your child for the day ahead.
This is perfect for burning off some energy, and a great activity for both young people and adults to kick start your week. So get limbering up, and we'll see you at 11am every Monday for Circuits with Sensei.
